There's an interesting article over a...Darren,<br /><br />There's an interesting article over at the Canadian Woodworking forums discussing various types of joints including dowels, biscuits, M&T, pocket holes systems like the Kreg, etc... For certain applications, including window frames, M&T joints (with a peg through both members ideally) came out on top.
